Spring training can lead to a new career
BANGOR—Residents of Hancock, Penobscot and Piscataquis counties can begin their training for a different career or a better job at the Bangor CareerCenter this month. The schedule for April features programming for job seekers and those who are considering training to upgrade their skills to increase their employability.
“I encourage Mainers to take advantage of the training provided by our CareerCenters,” said Governor Paul R. LePage. “Asking for this free assistance with your job search and networking can help you get a new or better job, which benefits both you and your community.”
All job seekers should register with the Maine Job Bank, which has approximately 23,000 registered job seekers and almost 4,000 job openings. There is no cost to create a profile if you are a job seeker or to list a job if you are an employer.
Workshops and events are held at the CareerCenter unless otherwise noted. Maine Veterans receive priority of service in all CareerCenter programs.
