Youth Speakup Discussion Forum

"Speakup" is an online forum for youth across the state to dialogue and debate issues that effect you. It's a great way to connect with others and to share information about what you are doing to get and stay involved in your school and/ or community. Topics could range from opinions on world politics, to the President, community service, the Maine Learning Results, voting, or describing what your school is like. It's up to you!

You will need to register in order to post to the forums, but that only takes a minute or two. Visit the forums often to participate in ongoing discussions related to citizenship education.

Forum "Rules":

In order to maintain a supportive, productive online community, please abide by the following rules when using the Youth Speakup Forum.

• Post your question/comment to the relevant topic.
• Read or search through past discussions to avoid repeating a question or topic.
• Be respectful of others and keep content appropriate to a public government forum. These discussions are public -- inappropriate posts will be deleted by the moderator
• Never post confidential information to a forum.
• Report any forum abuses to the forum moderator.
