FROM: Susan A. Gendron, Commissioner DATE: August 2, 2006 SUBJECT: Year-End Pupil Transportation Reports
As announced in Informational Letter #157 dated June 28, 2006, the FY2006 year end pupil transportation reports/data collection forms will be provided in electronic format for on-line submission this year. The reports will follow the protocol required for all MEDMS reports. This letter is to announce that the on-line reporting is now available at https://www.medms.maine.gov/medms You will be reporting data normally collected on the following reports:
If you do not have MEDMS access, please see your local MEDMS Administrator to get a Username and Password. You need to have “Transportation Director” permission. An instruction booklet is available for downloading at: http://www.maine.gov/education/const/trans.htm Due to the late availability of the reporting program, we have extended the submission date for this year to not later than August 22, 2006. It is very important that these reports be completed accurately. The data provided to the Department will be used for determining future transportation funding levels. This is notification that subsidy checks will be withheld, beginning with the September check, if your complete reports have not been submitted.
