RE:                  Survey on Implementation of Local Assessment Systems

 

 

 

Enclosed is a copy of the survey we distributed at the Department’s recent Local Assessment Design Institutes – the survey is designed to gather data related to the implementation of local assessment systems.  Participants who attended our institutes were asked to complete these questions after a thorough review of the LAS Guide Principles and Criteria for the Adoption of Local Assessment Systems, which you received in a separate mailing. The results of this survey will be used to inform policy making and to develop appropriate services and strategies to support districts at their individual levels of need.

 

In order to have comprehensive information from all of the districts in Maine, we are sending a copy of this survey for completion to superintendents in districts not represented at our June sessions. It is important to review the requirements within the LAS Guide before responding to the questions in the survey.
