The Polygraph unit has three Examiners, along with a supervising Examiner. Each Examiner is a certified and licensed graduate of a Polygraph Examiner training school that has been approved and accredited through the American Polygraph Association. In addition to polygraph testing, each examiner has specialty training in statement analysis and various interview and interrogation techniques. The unit performs forensic testing in Maine State Police criminal cases and pre-employment testing for Maine State Police applicants and Department of Public Safety Emergency Communications Specialist applicants.
