Figure 14. Higgins Beach, Scarborough. Seasonal variability at HI1 is typical with more sand on the beach in summer than winter. The summer envelope is smaller and about half the vertical size of the winter envelope. Winter erosion can easily be 0.5 m deeper than the deepest summer profile.
