Michael LeVert, Maine State Economist, Maine State Planning Office

Michael LeVert is Maine’s State Economist. He manages the Economics and Demographics Team at the State Planning Office. Mike staffs the Consensus Economic Forecasting Commission and sits on the Revenue Forecasting Committee, which together are responsible for forecasting Maine’s economy and state revenues. His interests include non-market valuation (quantifying benefits associated with goods not traded in a market, like the environment), and leveraging Maine’s Quality of Place as an economic development strategy.
