Figure 5. The Lincoln Sill occurs in a long, thin strip from Boothbay Harbor over 40 miles inland, beyond Washington. It was first mapped by Joseph Trefethen (1937) who named it the Lincoln Sill because it extends all the way across Lincoln County.
