Figure 7. Bedrock geologic map of the Battie Quartzite. The steep southern part of the mountain is underlain by quartzite conglomerate. The northern slope is underlain by bedded conglomerate and quartzite. Across the Auto Road, the rocks are mostly bedded quartzite with only minor quartzite conglomerate.
