Figure 5. Several examples of folds in the bedding of the Kittery Formation are visible in this photograph. The largest fold is in the left-middle section of the photograph. Trace the thick brown bed from the left to where it turns up on edge near the water in the right-middle of the photograph. Folds in the beds are highlighted in Figure 5a.
