Figure 3. A major contribution of this work was a map showing the variable intensity of regional metamorphism in Maine. This inset map was compiled by Warner, Doyle, and Hussey separately from the large stratigraphic map. In general, rocks toward the southwest are at progressively higher metamorphic grades.
