Maine Insurance Superintendent Alessandro A. Iuppa Announces the Release of
Two New Consumer Publications

Augusta, Maine: Maine Insurance Superintendent Alessandro A. Iuppa today announced the availability of two new consumer brochures targeted toward business owners. These new publications titled, “Insuring Your Business” and “Insuring Your Farm - The Basics of Property & Liability Coverage” provide general information about property and liability insurance. Some of the topics include information about policy coinsurance clauses which can affect how a loss is paid and factors to consider when obtaining coverage for commercial businesses.

“These brochures have information that business owners should consider when they are deciding what they need for coverage,” stated Superintendent Iuppa. “The brochures can also be helpful for business owners who already have policies. Policyholders should periodically review their policies to ensure that coverage is adequate and meets policy coinsurance requirements which can be a factor should there be a loss.”

(in state) or 207-624-8475. The new brochures, as well as other consumer information, are also available on-line on the Bureau's web site at www.MaineInsuranceReg.org under Consumer info and then under Publications.
