These unit determination matters were initiated by petitions
filed with the Maine Labor Relations Board on April 21, 1995.
As a result of prehearing discussions on June 28 and before going
on the record on July 12, 1995, the parties stipulated to the
appropriateness of three collective bargaining units described as
follows:
SUPERVISORY UNIT:
INCLUDED: Public Works Superintendent and Water
Treatment Plant Foreman/Operator/
Plumbing Inspector
EXCLUDED: All other employees of the Town of
Berwick
PROFESSIONAL UNIT
INCLUDED: Police Department Secretary/Dispatcher,
Bookkeeper, Assessment Clerk/Code
Enforcement Officer, Customer Service
Representative and Customer Service
Representative/General Assistance
Worker
EXCLUDED: All other employees of the Town of
Berwick
PUBLIC WORKS UNIT:
INCLUDED: Driver/Operator - Water Department,
Truck Driver/Laborer, Truck Driver/
Laborer/Equipment Operator

APPROPRIATE UNIT DETERMINATION
Based on the parties' complete stipulation as to the
descriptions of the above-referenced units, I find them
appropriate. A secret ballot election by mail shall be conducted
in these units as soon as is practicable.

The parties are hereby advised of their right, pursuant to 26
M.R.S.A. 968(4) (Supp. 1994), to appeal this report to the
