The demand for virtual government service delivery during the pandemic has heightened an urgent need for improved cybersecurity for state systems.
These funds will enhance the state’s ability to safeguard the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of citizen data. The initiative will modernize the State's cybersecurity program, making investments that reduce vulnerabilities while also responding to the newer threats posed by a geographically dispersed state workforce with many remote workers. Funds will also support the further development of business continuity plans for the state’s information and technology operations inside public agencies.
