Fellowship Program to Reduce Health Inequities

Permanent Commission on the Status of Racial, Indigenous and Maine Tribal Populations

Allocation: $1,000,000

Status: Pending

COVID-19 highlighted health disparities that are closely linked to longstanding health and social inequities affecting communities across Maine.

With these funds, the Permanent Commission on the Status of Racial, Indigenous, and Tribal Populations will support development of strategies to reduce these disparities in health outcomes of the state's racial, Indigenous, and tribal residents and communities. A portion of funding will support a fellowship program for individuals with living and lived experience to advance solutions that address root cause social determinants of health.
