  • Maine is expected to receive $587,000 in Victim’s Assistance funds. The total amount appropriated in the ARRA is $100 million.
  • These funds come from the Department of Justice and are administered through the Office of Child and Family Services and are contracted to the Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence programs throughout Maine.
  • Application for funding will be made through the GMS system and the application is due on March 20, 2009.
  • Funds will be administered and tracked separately from regular VOCA assistance funds.
