How to Vote in the Maine Student Mock Election

Be sure you have registered to participate and assigned a contact person for your classroom, school or district.

Ballots will be distributed to each contact person. You can also download and print the ballot that corresponds to your congressional district. There will be three ballots available: Candidate ballots, State Referendum Ballots and National Issues Ballots. It is entirely up to you which ballots you choose to vote.

You may conduct your Student Mock Election on or before Thursday, October 30, 2008.

Distribute the ballots and have students cast their votes. Your town or city clerk may be willing to assist you with this process.

| 5. |
Collect student ballots and tally votes for each office and proposal. A reporting form will be sent to the contact person.

| 6. |
Report your results on Thursday, October 30th, between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
