Economy & Innovation

The State of Maine is working to advance the economic health of our people.

Governor Janet Mills has released the State’s new 10-year strategic economic development plan. The non-partisan plan, which is the first of its kind in more than two decades, aims to foster collaboration among the public, private, non-profit, and education sectors to grow and diversify Maine’s economy. The Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future (GOPIF) is participating in the initiative, led by the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), together with other government agencies, business leaders, and private organizations.
