Welcome to the General Government Service Center

The primary purpose of the General Government Service Center is to provide fiscal and human resource management services in support of Bureau and Departmental operations and programs. The Division furnishes all Bureaus with (a) consistent and uniform application of statewide budgetary policy; (b) application of generally accepted accounting and financial practices; (c) implementation and uniform application of collective baragaining agreements; (d) human resources and payroll administration; and (e) department billing services so that each line bureau within the Department may achieve its desired program goals and objectives, and remain in compliance with all laws and available budgetary resources.

The Division provides the same scope of services to the various departments and agencies throughout Maine State Government served by the following Service Centers; General Government, Natural Resources, Security and Employment, Corrections, Transportation and Department of Health and Human Services.
