Maine Energy Plan: Pathway to 2040 Kick-off

The Governor's Energy Office is starting a planning effort for achieving the use of 100 percent clean energy in Maine by 2040. The "Maine Energy Plan: Pathway to 2040" will engage the public and key energy stakeholders on actionable and affordable strategies to meet this target, such as through diversifying energy sources in Maine, stabilizing electricity rates, reducing emissions, and supporting jobs and economic investment.

Grid Resilience Formula Fund Program Public Hearing

The Governor's Energy Office (GEO) will hold a public hearing to review the program objectives, metrics, and criteria for the Grid Resilience Formula Fund Program. The Program, established by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (Section 40101d), is aimed at improving the resilience of the electric grid against disruptive events.

Clean Energy Partnership Advisory Group Meeting

Meeting schedule/agenda:

The Clean Energy Partnership is a clean energy workforce and innovation initiative led by the Governor's Energy Office, launched in 2022 and supported by funding from the Maine Jobs and Recovery Plan. By engaging with leaders across government, education and industry, the Clean Energy Partnership will support the continued growth of the state's clean energy economy by preparing and expanding our clean energy workforce, as well as supporting innovation of clean tech products and services. An Advisory Group has been convened to inform the work of this initiative.
