Central Maine - Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery System

The Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemtery located on Civic Center Drive in Augusta was the first state veterans cemetery to open in Maine. In 2001 a second state cemetery was opened in Augusta on the Mt. Vernon Road.

Office Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Burials are scheduled in these two cemeteries on a year-round basis. Click the appropriate link for directions: Civic Center Drive location or Mt Vernon Road location

A Veterans Memorial Cemetery Association was established in March of 1970. The association has provided a tremendous amount of support in the area of beautification at both of the Augusta cemetery locations.
