LURC Acting Director Announced

AUGUSTA, Maine – (January 9, 2002) Commissioner Ron Lovaglio announced the appointment of Catherine M. Carroll as Land Use Regulation Commission Acting Director effective Monday, January 14, 2002. Acting Director Carroll holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Evergreen State College of Olympia, Washington. She currently serves as manager of the Permitting and Compliance Division and has worked at LURC since 1988.

A search is underway to appoint a new director, and Commissioner Lovaglio anticipates the final decision to be announced as soon as possible. LURC serves as the planning and zoning authority for the state’s 10.5 million acres of townships, plantations and unorganized areas.
