Value of State's Share of Employee's Retirement: 18.46% of pay

Brief description of work: This is maintenance work providing services to park users including: maintaining and repairing facilities, enforcing park rules and regulations, answering questions and giving information, mowing lawns, emptying trash, cleaning and repairing buildings and bathhouses, collecting and recording fees, and patrolling remote areas at a state park or day use area. Work may also include directing and overseeing the activities of a small crew of maintenance staff.

Assistant Park Ranger Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge and/or experience in park maintenance and operations or equivalent.

Licensing/registration/certification requirements: (These must be met by all employees prior to attaining permanent status in this class). Valid Class C Maine motor vehicle operator’s license.
