Promotions and Events

We coordinate special events and promotions including the Maine Agricultural Trades Show, Eastern States Exposition, Open Farm Day and Ag day at the Legislature. These events promote agriculture and serve as a tool to inform the public about the value and role of agriculture in society.

The fair coordinator oversees the statutory requirements of agricultural fairs in Maine. We coordinate licensing, assign dates with each individual fair association, and evaluate each fair. Our goal is to assure that Maine agriculture is showcased at all fairs in Maine.

Dates for Maine Agricultural Fairs are set after the beginning of the new year.
