Re: State of Maine v. Price-Rite Fuel, Inc., Veilleux Oil and Service, Inc., Perron Fuel, Inc. and Nicholas Curro III

Dear Consumer:

As you know, this office filed a civil lawsuit against the above-named defendants in York County Superior Court in Alfred on January 18, 2008. We are seeking to recover restitution for consumers who have prepaid for fuel that has not been delivered.

The Attorney General’s office appeared before the Court on February 12, 2008 after which the Judge issued an order appointing a monitor to review and approve all of the defendants’ financial transactions. We believe that this step is necessary to preserve any assets that may be available to pay consumers at the end of the lawsuit. Please be patient as litigation can take several months to complete. We will let everyone know by letter, when significant events, like the appointment of the monitor, occur in the case. You can view the complaint and order appointing a monitor on our website at Veilleux Oil.

We ask that you assist us by keeping your records relating to your prepaid fuel. Also let us know if you change your address. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
