Do Not Call/MailFederal Trade Commission's Do Not Call ListThe Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has a Do Not Call List, which makes it easier for you to stop getting telemarketing calls you do not want. You can register online at www.donotcall.gov or by phone, toll free, by called 1-888-382-1222, TTY 1-866-290-4236 from the telephone number you wish to register. Registration is free. Direct Marketing Association's Do Not Mail ListYou can also remove yourself from mailing lists by sending your name, address, telephone number, and your signature to: Mail Preference Service By placing your name in the DMA Do Not Mail List, you can expect within a few months to receive considerably fewer unwanted mailings. Your name remains on the list for five years. After that, you must repeat the process if you want to continue to be listed. For more information, see www.the-dma.org. |
