Scott Boak, Natural Resources Division Chief

Originally from the Midwest, Scott grew up in Indiana, Illinois, and Minnesota. Scott received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his law degree from the College of William & Mary, where he focused on environmental law and worked with the Virginia Institute of Marine Sciences on coastal property rights. He began his career in Atlanta where he engaged in medical malpractice and products liability defense work. Scott moved to Maine in 2001, and practiced general civil litigation in a Portland law firm before joining the Office of the Attorney General's Litigation Division and Tax Unit in 2006, and the Offices Natural Resources Division in 2014. Scotts more recent work has generally focused on legal matters involving the Clean Water Act, Maines State water laws, and federally-licensed hydroelectric and other dams.
