Maine Revenue Services offers a Progression Program for all employees in the Tax Examiner and Revenue Agent classifications. The purpose of these programs is to support growth and provide opportunities for advancement based on employee abilities. Tax Examiners have the opportunity to participate in a 2-year program with the ability to advance from Tax Examiner I to a Tax Examiner II to a Tax Examiner III. Revenue Agents have the opportunity to participate in an 18-month program with the ability to advance from Revenue Agent to a Senior Revenue Agent, with a path to Principal Revenue Agent.
