Maine Veterans’ Homes Stakeholder Group

Statute: Pursuant to Maine Revised Statutes, Title 37-B, section 612, the MVH Board of Trustees, in collaboration with the Commissioner of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management and the Commissioner of Health and Human Services, shall convene a group of relevant stakeholders to develop a plan for the long-term viability and continuous operation of the Homes across the state. The stakeholder group must include or seek input from veterans and their families, employees of the Maine Veterans' Homes and people in the communities served by the Maine Veterans' Homes. The board will present the stakeholder group’s findings and recommendations to the Joint Standing Committee of Veterans and Legal Affairs no later than February 15, 2023.

Schedule: The stakeholder group will have its kick-off meeting on August 17, 2022. Subsequent meetings will occur on September 21, October 19, November 16, and January 18. Meetings will start at 4 pm and run approximately 60 minutes. Attendees may participate using a Zoom link (shared here, on the MVH webpage, and the Clerk’s schedule of events)
