Paving Operation in Falmouth to Restrict Traffic

Falmouth – A road construction project on Leighton Road in Falmouth will have the final layer of pavement applied on Monday, July 14th from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The location is on Leighton Road between the intersection of Gray Road and Falmouth Road. The configuration of the road combined with a short distance between two high traffic volume intersections will require traffic restrictions. One-way traffic only will be allowed from Gray Road to Falmouth Road from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Traffic that typically moves from Falmouth Road to Gray Road will be detoured to the Falmouth Road-Gray Road-Mountain Road intersection. Flaggers and signage will be in the area to help alleviate congestion.

Motorists who travel on Falmouth Road from Winn Road to Leighton Road with intentions to turn onto Leighton Road will be redirected to a U-turn located east of the Piscataqua River Bridge near a recreational trailhead parking area.

Motorists are advised to allow for extra time if traveling through this area or to seek an alternate route.
