Passing Lanes On I-95 In Pittsfield To Close For Power Line Upgrade

The passing lanes on I-95 southbound and northbound south of the Sebasticook River in Pittsfield will be closed for portions of Thursday, Friday and Saturday (May 5-7) so crews from Central Maine Power can install new power lines over the interstate. The travel lanes will remain open during the installation.

Short portions of the southbound and northbound passing lanes in Pittsfield will be closed from 5:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (May 5-7) as crews install the new lines on the existing power line infrastructure over the interstate. State police vehicles will be on site alerting motorists to the lane closures.

The new power line installation is part of Central Maine Power’s Maine Power Reliability Program upgrade.
