Paving to occur Monday at route 3/198 intersection in Bar Harbor
Construction crews have nearly completed work on the Route 3/198 intersection in Bar Harbor, and on Monday, May 10, crews will be paving Route 198 at the intersection of Route 3.
During the paving process, crews will be monitoring traffic in order to limit delays. If traffic delays start to exceed 10 minutes, the contractor has been directed to cease paving and to remove construction equipment from the roadway in order to eliminate the delays.
Once paving is complete, crews will stripe the roadway May 12 through 14. This could cause short delays, so detours will be in place to allow traffic to ontinuously flow.
If there are no delays due to weather, the project is expected to be completed by Friday, May 14.
