Bureau of Motor Vehicles exams on Tuesday cancelled due to impending snowstorm

AUGUSTA – Due to the expected adverse weather conditions forecast statewide, all driver license examinations at the Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles are cancelled for February 2, 2021, Secretary of State Shenna Bellows announced today.

Applicants who were scheduled for a written examination or road test on Tuesday will automatically be rescheduled for the earliest possible appointment date and will receive notice of the new date via mail. BMV staff members are also contacting all applicants directly by phone to notify them of the cancellation.

“While we realize this is an inconvenience for those who have been preparing for their exam, the safety of our applicants and our examiners is always our most important consideration,” said Secretary Bellows. “We thank them for their patience and assure all of these applicants that their new test date will be as soon as possible.”
