Notice Regarding Continuing Education Deferment Requests

During the ongoing state of emergency resulting from COVID-19, licensees can request a deferment of the continuing education requirement for renewal of a license due to circumstances related to the emergency. If a request is approved, the continuing education requirement will be deferred for 120 days after the COVID-19 related state of emergency is terminated, at which time you will receive further instructions. The deferment request form must be completed and submitted prior to submitting the license renewal application. The request will be evaluated and you will receive notification with instructions for completing the renewal process. Notice Regarding License Verification Requests

Effective March 1, 2019, the Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR) will no longer issue paper license verifications. License verifications are available, free of charge, on OPOR’s official database, https://www.pfr.maine.gov/ALMSOnline/ALMSQuery/Welcome.aspx.This database is updated in real time as changes occur.The Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation considers this information to be a secure, primary source for license verification.
