Computer Coach
Time Commitment
2-3 hours, weekly
Purpose
To assist patrons one-on-one with a variety of computer-related tasks. Such as searching on the the Internet, setting up email accounts, and applying for jobs online.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach patrons how to navigate the Internet
- Assist patrons in learning word processing
- Assist patrons in setting up an email account
- Assist patrons in applying for jobs online
Skills/Abilities/Qualifications Required
- Convey a positive, friendly attitude
- Ability to work congenially with staff, patrons, and other volunteers
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, policies and procedures
- Ability to work with a diverse population
- Maintain confidentiality in dealing with patron information
- Experience or skill working with computers and explaining how to perform computer functions
- Adeptness at using a variety of search engines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Open Office for word processing
