Troop G Weekly Report - 10/03/2022 - 10/09/2022

On 10/02/2022, the Augusta Regional Communications Center received a report of an OUI/rolling domestic that was northbound from mile marker 25 in Kennebunk. The complainants, who were the parents of the victim, were trying to follow the vehicle. The vehicle departed at Exit 32. Cpl. Cropper located the vehicle on Rt. 35 in Lyman after the male operator forced the victim out of the vehicle on Alewive Rd in Kennebunk and then fled. Cpl. Cropper was assisted by Troop A and Tpr. Anstett, Troop G. The investigation was turned over to Tpr. Walp and Cpl. Sucy. The male was charged with OUI and Aggravated Domestic Violence Assault.

On 10/03/2022, Cpl. Ricci Cote was conducting traffic enforcement in the area of mile 49 southbound in Portland.  While parked in the break down lane, his cruiser was struck by a passing empty tractor trailer unit.  The sideswipe ripped off Cpl. Cote’s side mirror and damaged his driver’s door and front tire.  There were no injuries.  The crash was investigated by Sgt. Angela Porter.  The operator of the tractor trailer unit was cited for Failure to Maintain Control of Motor Vehicle. 

On 10/03/2022, Tr. Keim arrested Brittany Eastup (30) of Windham for Operating Under the Influence.  She was reportedly all over the road and driving erratically.  After testing above the legal limit, Eastup was also charged with Violation of Conditions of Release.

On 10/08/2022, Tr. Keim arrested Drew Mollica (34) of Gray.  Mollica was involved in a crash in Cumberland, where he was reportedly driving over 100 mph, when he lost control of his vehicle and ran into the center guardrail.  After running into the guardrail, he bounced off and struck a pickup that was going by.  Mollica was charged with Operating Under the Influence and Driving to Endanger.

Troop G Weekly Report - 09/26/2022 - 10/02/2022

On 09/27/2022, Cpl. Cropper stopped a vehicle traveling northbound in Portland after the operator reportedly fled from Saco Police Department Officers. The operator was suspected of operating under the influence. Tr. Wilcox conducted standardized field sobriety testing and placed Michael Katamba (29) of Lewiston under arrest for Operating Under the Influence. Katamba provided a breath sample and was subsequently summonsed.

On 09/27/2022, Cpl. Cote stopped Juliette Levesque (24) of Minot on the ME Turnpike southbound in New Gloucester.  Her ME Driver’s License was found to be suspended.  She was charged with Operating after Suspension and Possession of a Suspended License.  Her vehicle was towed away.

On 09/27/2022, Tr. Walp summonsed Edgar Garcia (38) of Portland for Operating after Suspension. Garcia produced a fake international driver’s license that was also confiscated.

On 09/28/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Thomas Forlini (36) of Rhode Island for speeding on the ME Turnpike southbound in Arundel. His license plates were found to be falsely attached. He was summonsed for the speed and registration violation. The vehicle was towed.

On 09/28/2022 at approximately 2223 hours, Troopers Verhille, Bourdelais, Ellis, DeGroot, and Sergeant Casey all responded to a report of a dump truck rolled over in the northbound lane on the Maine Turnpike in Lewiston.  The driver was traveling north when he was distracted and crossed into the breakdown lane.  He swerved to avoid a disabled vehicle that was in the breakdown lane and overcorrected, causing him to lose control of the vehicle and rollover, spilling asphalt he was hauling across both lanes.  The vehicle came to rest on its side, blocking both lanes of travel.  Northbound traffic was closed for approximately 3 ½ hours while crew members worked on removing the vehicle and the asphalt from the roadway. The driver was transported to Central Maine Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

 

On 09/29/2022, Cpl. Ricci Cote arrested Timothy Meeks (34) formerly of Memphis, TN on the ME Turnpike southbound in Auburn.  He had been walking and refused to exit upon being warned and ordered to do so.  He was charged with Criminal Trespassing, Refusal to Submit to Arrest (Force), and Refusal to Sign a Uniform Summons and Complaint.  After being medically cleared at a local hospital, he was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail.  Cpl. Cote was assisted by Tpr. Ryan Keller of Troop K.

On 09/29/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Ericka Leary (32) of Gray for an expired registration on the ME Turnpike northbound in Falmouth. She was found to not have a valid license. She was summonsed for an expired license and warned for the registration. The vehicle was towed.

On 09/30/2022, Tr. Ellis observed a vehicle speeding 122/70 northbound on the ME Turnpike in Saco. Sgt. Casey clocked the vehicle speeding 110/50 and stopped it in Portland. Tommy Guerrero (25) of Lewiston was charged with criminal speeding.

On 09/30/2022, Tr. Walp was following up on a traffic complaint. The complainant said if Troopers did not pull the vehicle over, they feared the driver would kill someone. Tr. Walp located the vehicle at MM 80 southbound where it was pulled into the breakdown lane. After further investigation, Tr. Walp arrested the male operator, Charles Driscoll (22) of Kittery and administered a breath test at the jail. Driscoll was booked into the Androscoggin County Jail and charged with OUI.

On 09/30/2022, Tr. Foley stopped Erik Maas (56) on I-95 south in Wells for erratic operation. Maas displayed signs of intoxication and Tr. Foley placed Maas under arrest for OUI. Maas was transported to York PD where he blew over the legal limit and posted bail. Cpl. Physic assisted.

On 10/01/2022, Cpl. Physic stopped Shayle Wormel in Saco for following too closely on I-95. Shayle showed signs of impairment and Cpl. Physic placed Shayle under arrest. Shayle took an intoxilyzer test and blew over the legal limit. 

On 10/01/2022, Tr. Walp pulled Alexander Menezes (25) of Lewiston over for criminal speed. Upon further investigation, Menezes’ registration was past due over 150 days and the registration was suspended. Menezes was issued a summons and the vehicle was towed.

On 10/02/2022, Tr. Foley responded to a rollover crash on I-95 south in Portland. The operator, Jens Jensen-Reinke (30) suffered minor injuries. Jensen-Reinke displayed signs of intoxication. Tr. Foley placed Jensen-Reinke under arrest for OUI. Jensen-Reinke consented to a blood draw and results are pending.

On 10/02/2022, Tr. Anstett stopped Jessica Mercer (37) of West Paris for Criminal Speed on the Turnpike in Cumberland. Mercer was issued a summons.

On 10/02/2022, Tr. Anstett stopped a 17-year-old male of Hanover, MA for Criminal Speed in a construction zone on the Turnpike in Portland. The male was issued a summons for speed and speed in a construction zone.

On 10/02/2022, Tr. Anstett assisted with a family fight in the area of mile 25 northbound on the Turnpike. Tr. Anstett located the victim in Kennebunk. The investigation is ongoing.

Troop G Weekly Report - 09/19/2022 - 09/25/2022

On 09/19/2022, Tr. Foley stopped Sonia Oquendo (46) for poor operation. Oquendo showed multiple signs of intoxication and refused to perform field sobriety testing. Oquendo was arrested for Operating Under the Influence. Oquendo refused to provide a breath sample and was booked at York County Jail.

On 09/19/2022, Cpl. Ricci Cote stopped Jordan Parent (24) of Mexico on the ME Turnpike southbound in New Gloucester for traveling 110 mph.  He was charged with Criminal Speed.

On 09/19/2022, Tpr. Anstett stopped Charbel Najera De Los Santos for speed on I95 in West Gardiner. De Los Santos was charged with Operating Without License.

On 09/20/2022, Cpl. Ricci Cote stopped Jason Holland (44) of Fayette on the ME Turnpike northbound in Portland.  He was charged with Attaching False Plates and his vehicle was towed away.

On 09/20/2022, Cpl. Ricci Cote investigated a property crash for Portland Police that occurred on Riverside Drive in Portland.  One of the operators involved was found to have a suspended ME Driver’s License.  He was charged with Operating after Suspension and Possession of a Suspended License.  A licensed driver came to to the scene and drove his vehicle away.

On 09/21/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Jonathan Yombe (25) of Portland on the ME turnpike for speeding southbound in Scarborough. He was put through field sobriety tests, found to be impaired, and arrested. He was taken to Biddeford PD for a breathalyzer test. He blew over the legal limit and was charged with Operating Under the Influence. His vehicle was towed.

On 09/22/2022, Tr. Williams and Tr. Foley stopped Jonathan Figueroa (30) regarding a traffic complaint. Figueroa showed objective signs of intoxication. Tr. Foley arrested Figueroa for Operating Under the Influence. Figueroa’s breath alcohol content was over the legal limit.

Troop G Weekly Report - 09/12/2022 - 09/18/2022

On 09/12/2022, Cpl. Cropper stopped a vehicle for speeding northbound in Kennebunk. The 23-year-old female operator from Boston, MA was suspended in Maine for failure to pay fines. She was summonsed for the speeding and OAS-Civil. The male passenger was positively identified as EARL S. GUERRA (33) of Boston, MA. GUERRA was out on bail for DV assault. The protected person was the female operator. The vehicle was towed and the female was dropped off at the NB Kennebunk Plaza. GUERRA was arrested for VCR and transported to YCJ.

On 09/14/2022, Troopers responded to a crash at mile marker 14 NB in Ogunquit. The investigation determined the operator of a pickup truck was driving northbound on the Turnpike when he fell asleep and swerved into the middle lane, swiping a tractor-trailer. The crash caused the pickup truck to roll over several times. The passenger in the pickup truck was ejected from the vehicle. He was not wearing a seatbelt. The passenger suffered serious injuries and was transported to a Portsmouth, NH hospital. The drivers of the pickup and the tractor-trailer were not injured. At the time of the crash, the pickup truck was transporting 10 dogs in a steel cage in the back of the truck. One dog was found deceased at the scene and eight dogs were recovered. Of the recovered dogs one was taken to a local veterinarian.

On 09/17/2022, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Maine State Police received two calls from drivers claiming they had seen what appeared to be Whiskey, the lone missing hunting dog from a recent crash, around mile 11 northbound on I-95 in the town of York.  Tr. Williams began searching the area, lighting up the woodline as much as possible using cruiser lights and a flashlight.  Tr. Williams eventually noticed a couple eyes shining back at him from the woods and found it worthy of investigation.  Tr. Williams stopped his cruiser and was able to see Whiskey’s head through the tall grass.  Whiskey began howling back at Tr. Williams.  Whiskey was weak and shaking, but otherwise appeared to be uninjured.  Tr. Williams walked Whiskey back to the cruiser where he was fed and watered.  Whiskey was turned over to the Ogunquit Police and Animal Control Officer where he will be cared for until reunification with his owner. 

On 09/15/2022, Cpl. Ricci Cote stopped Michael Dickson (43) of Woolwich on the ME Turnpike northbound in Gray.  His ME driver’s license was found to be suspended.  He was charged with Operating after Suspension and Possession of a Suspended License.  His vehicle was towed away.

On 09/15/2022, Tr. Ellis responded to the Falmouth area on I-295 to assist Troop B with a median rollover crash. One of the occupants was seriously injured and the highway was temporarily closed as a result of the crash.

On 09/16/2022, Tr. Bourdelais responded to a motor vehicle crash on the turnpike near mile marker 60 in Gray. It appeared the vehicle made contact with the guardrail causing major front end damage resulting in the vehicle being towed. The operator was identified as John Kearney. Upon further investigation, Kearney appeared to be under the influence.  He refused field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested and charged accordingly.

On 09/17/2022, Tr. Bourdelais represented the Maine State Police Honor Guard at the Big E in Massachusetts in support of the Agriculture Department for Maine Day. Other Maine agencies participated in the event to include the Forest Rangers and Game Wardens.

   

 

On 09/17/2022, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Troopers Burke and Williams and Cpl. Cropper responded to a motor vehicle crash southbound on I-95 in the town of Wells.  Upon arrival Tr. Burke secured the scene and provided first aid to the occupants.  An investigation revealed the vehicle had left the roadway due to an unknown cause and crashed into a tree, totaling the vehicle.  The 65-year-old male driver sustained significant but non-life threatening injuries to his head and back.  The passenger, a 65-year-old female, suffered a possible injury to her back.  Both occupants were transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for treatment. 

On 09/17/2022, Tr. Anstett responded to Naples for a pedestrian fatal crash involving a two-year-old child. Tr. Anstett assisted CCSO and MCU with drone mapping of the crash scene.

On 09/17/2022, Cpl. Physic summonsed Jordan Oden for OAS and Criminal Speed.

On 09/17/2022, Cpl. Sucy pulled a passenger car over for speed in Gray. Upon further investigation, it was found that the driver, Demetric Johnson (39) of Alabama, was operating without a license. Johnson was charged for operating without a license and the vehicle was towed.

On 09/17/2022, Cpl. Sucy pulled over a passenger van for speed. Upon further investigation, it was found that the driver of the vehicle, Eric Kibonge (38) of Lewiston, had a suspended license. Kibonge was charged with OAS and released from the scene.

On 09/18/2022, Cpl. Sucy pulled over an SUV for speed. Upon further investigation, it was found that the driver, Peter Robinson (27) of E. Machias, was found to have a suspended license.  Robinson was charged with OAS and released from the scene.

On 09/18/2022, Cpl. Physic arrested Elena Poulin for OUI.  Elena took an intoxilyzer test and blew over the legal limit. Tpr. Foley assisted.

On 09/18/2022, Cpl. Sucy pulled over a sedan for speed. The driver, an 18-year-old male from Lewiston, was found to be operating the vehicle without a license. He recently moved to Maine from Brazil and there was a language barrier. The male was under the impression his ID card was a driver’s license. He was educated on getting a driver’s license. The vehicle was towed from the scene, but the operator was not charged with any crimes.

Troop G Weekly Report - 09/05/2022 - 09/11/2022

On 09/05/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Belal Faizy (32) of South Portland for a registration violation on the ME turnpike northbound in Kennebunk. His plates were found to be falsely attached. The vehicle was towed.

On 09/08/2022, Tr. Anstett responded to the Gorham Road Turnpike overpass for a crash reconstruction mapping. Charges are currently pending and the investigation is ongoing.

On 09/09/2022, Cpl. Cote stopped Niels Doughty (30) of Yarmouth on the ME Turnpike southbound in Saco.  His ME driver’s license was found to be suspended.  He was charged with Operating after Suspension and Possession of a Suspended License.  His vehicle was towed away.

On 09/10/2022, Tr. Ellis responded to Wells to assist with a commercial motor vehicle related incident. The driver, Juan Vargas Quiceno (30) of New York, was placed out of service for having no record of duty status. Additionally, he lacked a medical card, periodic inspection, and was carrying an unauthorized passenger. The vehicle was towed. Charges are pending with Wells PD.

On 09/10/2022, Cpl. Cote stopped Mackenzie Morel (28) of Guilford on the ME Turnpike northbound in Saco.  Her ME driver’s license was found to be revoked.  She was charged with Operating after Habitual Offender Revocation and Possession of a Revoked License.  Her vehicle was towed away.

On 09/11/2022, Cpl. Cote stopped Michael Hall (53) of St. Albans on the ME Turnpike northbound in Scarborough.  His ME driver’s license was found to be suspended.  He was charged with Operating after Suspension and Possession of a Suspended License.  His vehicle was towed away. 

On 09/11/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Joel Rodriquez (35) of New Jersey for criminal speeding 103/70 on the ME turnpike northbound in Saco. He was summonsed for the speed.

Traffic Stop in Gray shuts down off-ramp

On Thursday, September 1, 2022  at approximately 9:45 am,  Maine State Police Troop G received a complaint from the Maine Turnpike Authority Dispatch that an MTA maintenance crew member had observed a white minivan operating erratically in the area of mile marker 55 northbound.  The crew also reported there appeared to a be a male and a female in the van involved in an altercation.  Troopers located the vehicle a few minutes later and observed the same conduct reported by the Maine Turnpike Authority.  The vehicle was stopped near Exit 63 in Gray and both occupants, the driver 41-year-old Julio Garcia of Gray and passenger 33-year-old Hope Champagne of Gray were uncooperative with the investigation. Due to the nature and location of the stop Exit 63 NB was temporarily shut down and traffic was diverted to I-295. Garcia was ultimately charged with Criminal Operating After Suspension and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Troop G Weekly Report - 08/22/2022 - 08/28/2022

On 08/23/2022, Tr. Keim responded to CMMC for a report of a domestic violence assault that occurred on the Maine Turnpike in the Augusta area.  After interviewing the female victim, who sustained bruises to her chin, shoulder, and arms, Tr. Keim, Cpl. Cote, Lewiston PD, and the Safe Streets Task Force were able to locate the suspect at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston. The 28-year-old male was arrested for domestic violence assault and was also charged with violating his bail, which he was on from a prior assault on the same victim.

On 08/24/2022, Cpl. Physic summonsed Cameron Briner for Criminal Speed for traveling 101 mph in a 70-mph zone.

On 08/26/2022, Sgt. Porter responded to the area of mile marker 50 SB for a crash. It was raining heavily at the time and there was vehicle debris in the breakdown lane, but the vehicles were gone. One of the vehicles involved was found just off exit 48 on Riverside Street in Portland, coming out of the Burger King drive-thru with heavy front-end damage and both front airbags deployed. The operator, Erik Williams (43) of Lewiston, was summonsed for OAS and the vehicle was towed.

On 08/27/2022, Tr. Ellis, Tr. Phillips, Sgt. Casey, and the Biddeford Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on the ME turnpike northbound in Saco. The vehicle was a complete loss and led to an extended closure of multiple lanes while fire suppression was conducted.

 

On 08/27/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Laurenco Sousa (42) of Portland for criminal speeding 100/70 on the ME turnpike southbound in Saco. He was summonsed for the speed.

On 08/27/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Francis Enwonwu (39) of Scarborough for criminal speeding 100/70 on the ME turnpike northbound in Kennebunk. He was summonsed for the speed.

On 08/27/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Vladimil Ramirez (34) of Massachusetts for criminal speeding 106/70 on the ME turnpike southbound in Kennebunk. He was summonsed for the speed and an unsafe lane change.

On 08/28/2022, Tr. Phillips was conducting traffic enforcement on I95 in the Kennebunk area. While monitoring traffic Tr. Phillips had a vehicle pass him traveling at 106 mph in a 70-mph zone. Tr. Phillips conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle without issue. The driver was summonsed for criminal speed.

On 08/28/2022, Tr. Anstett responded to Rt. 202 in Alfred to conduct a crash reconstruction for Troop A. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Troop G Weekly Report - 08/15/2022 - 08/21/2022

On 08/15/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Arielle Vieira (26) of New Hampshire for criminal speeding 101/70 on the ME turnpike southbound in Scarborough. She was summonsed for the speed.

On 08/17/2022, Cpl. Cote stopped Romit Shah (47) of New York, NY, on the ME Turnpike northbound.  His driver’s license was found to be suspended.  He was charged with Operating after Suspension.  His vehicle was towed away.

On 08/17/2022, Cpl. Cote stopped Jacob Levesque (29) of Kennebunk on the ME Turnike at the 48 tolls.  His driver’s license was found to be suspended and he had active bail conditions.  He was charged with Operation after Suspension and Violation of Conditions of Release.  His vehicle was towed away.

On 08/17/2022, Tr. Phillips was conducting traffic enforcement on I95 in the S. Portland area. While monitoring traffic Tr. Phillips received a complaint of a multi-vehicle crash near MM 41 NB. Troopers Phillips, Ellis, and Keim located the crash and those involved. After interviewing the driver who was said to have caused the crash, field sobriety was conducted and the driver was taken into custody. The subject was transported to the Troop B barracks for testing. Test results showed a BrAC above the legal limit.

On 08/18/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Augusto Luemba (22) of Sabattus for speeding on the ME turnpike southbound in Portland. His license was found to be suspended. He was summonsed for the suspension and the vehicle was towed.

On 08/18/2022, Tr. Phillips was conducting traffic enforcement on I95 in the Wells area. While monitoring traffic Tr. Phillips received a complaint of erratic operations on a vehicle NB from MM 17. Tr. Phillips was able to locate the vehicle in Saco and monitor operation before conducting a traffic stop. After interviewing the driver and conducting field sobriety the driver was taken into custody. The subject was transported to the York Police Department for testing. Test results showed a BrAC above the legal limit.

On 08/19/2022, Cpl. Cote stopped Kieontae Sims (22) of Auburn on Lisbon St. in Lewiston at the Turnpike Exit 80.  His driver’s license was found to be suspended and he had active bail conditions.  He was charged with Operating after Suspension and Violation of Conditions of Release.  His vehicle was towed away.

On 08/19/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Johnee Tibbs (25) of Massachusetts for criminal speeding 87/50 (construction) on the ME turnpike southbound in South Portland. She was summonsed for the speed.

On 08/19/2022, Tr. Phillips was conducting traffic enforcement on I95 in the Auburn area. While monitoring traffic Tr. Phillips had a vehicle pass him traveling at 106 mph in a 70-mph zone. Tr. Phillips conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle without issue. The driver was summonsed for criminal speed.

On 08/20/2022, Tr. Foley stopped Leslie Vaccaro (56) near mile marker 36 on I-95 for erratic operation. Voccaro’s license was suspended. Voccaro was issued a summons and his vehicle was towed from the scene.

On 08/21/2022, Cpl. Sucy pulled over Joshua Poissant (34) of Arundel in Sabattus at 85 Southbound. After further investigation Poissant was arrested for a bail violation for being with the female he had a recent DV with. Poissant was charged with Felony VCR.

On 08/18/2022, Cpl. Physic participated in a well-attended community event where they handed out backpacks and school supplies.

Troop G Weekly Report - 08/08/2022 - 08/14/2022

On 08/09/2022, Tr. Phillips was conducting traffic enforcement on I95 in the Scarborough area. While monitoring traffic Tr. Phillips had a vehicle pass him traveling at 106 mph in a 70-mph zone. Tr. Phillips conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle without issue. The driver was summonsed for criminal speed.

On 08/10/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Jerry Thibodeau (35) of Massachusetts for criminal speeding 100/70 on the ME turnpike northbound in Saco. He was summonsed for the speed.

On 08/12/2022, Cpl. Cote stopped Aaron Olsen (33) of Dover, NH on the ME Turnpike southbound in South Portland.  His right to operate in Maine was suspended x 4.  He was charged with Operating after Suspension and his vehicle was towed away.

On 08/12/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Prabhansh Sharma (27) of Massachusetts for criminal speeding 106/70 on the ME turnpike northbound in Scarborough. He was summonsed for the speed and an unsafe lane change. Tr. Phillips assisted.

On 08/12/2022, Tr. Phillips was conducting traffic enforcement on I95 in the Biddeford area. While monitoring traffic Tr. Phillips had a vehicle pass him traveling at 104 mph in a 70-mph zone. Tr. Phillips conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle without issue. The driver was summonsed for criminal speed.

On 08/12/2022, Tr. Phillips was conducting traffic enforcement on I95 in the Scarborough area. While monitoring traffic Tr. Phillips had a vehicle pass him traveling at 108 mph in a 70-mph zone. Tr. Phillips conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle without issue. The driver was summonsed for criminal speed.

On 08/13/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Gryphon C Traigle (21) of Biddeford for criminal speeding 100/70 on the ME turnpike southbound in Saco. He was summonsed for the speed.

On 08/13/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Shabeer Babak (30) of Lewiston for criminal speeding 103/70 on the ME turnpike southbound in York. He was summonsed for the speed.

On 08/13/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Barbara Montgomery (27) of Vermont for criminal speeding 102/70 on the ME turnpike northbound in Scarborough. She was summonsed for the speed.

On 08/13/2022, Tr. Bourdelais received a complaint for erratic operation and a hit and run at the New Gloucester tolls on the turnpike. The vehicle was stopped on the turnpike in Falmouth and the operator was identified as Leelu Hinkley. Upon further investigation, Hinkley appeared to be under the influence.  She was put through field sobriety tests and subsequently arrested.  The vehicle was towed and the operator was taken to the Troop B barracks where she was administered an intoxilyzer test.  The results were over the legal limit.  She was charged accordingly.

On 08/14/2022, Cpl. Peckham responded to Exit 47 on I-95 in Portland for a vehicle that had crashed at MM 57, left the scene, and stopped on the 47 departure ramp. Tyler Dumas (25) of Kennebunk was arrested and charged with OUI Alcohol.

On 08/14/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Joshua Saili (25) of Portland for criminal speeding 108/70 on the ME turnpike northbound in Saco. He was summonsed for the speed.

On 08/14/2022, Tr. Ellis stopped Ronny Mella Almonte (22) of Massachusetts for speeding on the ME turnpike northbound in Saco. He was found to have a suspended license. He was charged with operating without a license. The vehicle was towed.

On 08/14/2022, Tr. Ellis responded to a motor vehicle crash on the ME turnpike southbound in Saco. One of the vehicle passengers, Benjamin Pomeroy (24) of Livermore Falls, was found to have a warrant. He was arrested and transported to Cumberland County Jail.

On 08/09/2022, Cpl. Physic was the keynote speaker at the Lewiston High School’s August graduation.

 

Troop G Weekly Report - 08/01/2022 - 08/07/2022

On 07/31/2022, Cpl. Sucy made contact with Nicole Brough (21) of Oxford and charged her with Misuse of Identification and Operating Without a License. This stemmed from a traffic stop on June 8th when Brough used her sister’s license as her own. Brough admitted to the crime once approached.

On 08/02/2022, Cpl. Sucy charged Slade Meserve (16) of Norway for Operating Without a License. The vehicle was towed.

On 08/03/2022, Cpl. Physic arrested James Belleau II for OUI.  James took an intoxilyzer test and blew over the legal limit.  Tpr. Murray assisted.

On 08/04/2022, Cpl. Physic summonsed Dale Martel for Criminal Speed for going 91 mph in a 50-mph construction zone.

On 08/05/2022, Tr. Foley responded to a traffic complaint originating at MM 13 NB on I-95. Tr. Foley located and stopped Daniel Gullicksen (34) for erratic operation. Gullicksen was found to be under the influence and ultimately arrested. A DRE screening on Gullicksen showed that he was under the influence of cannabis. Gullicksen was booked at York County Jail without incident.

On 08/07/2022, Cpl. Sucy stopped Tyler Dias (27) of Lewiston at MM 40 SB on I-95. Dias was stopped for speed, and as a result of investigation, it was found he was operating on a suspended license. Dias was issued a summons for the OAS and the car was released with a licensed driver.  

On 08/07/2022, Cpl. Cropper was using his LTI 20/20 TruVision laser at the Beech Ridge Rd overpass while northbound in Scarborough. A 17-year-old boy from Minot was recorded at 107 mph in the 70-mph zone. The young male was stopped at MM 43 and was summonsed for criminal speed.
