Maine State Police Detectives were called to Sherman yesterday because of human remains discovered in the woods near mile 269 off Interstate 95.  The remains have been transported to the Medical Examiner’s office in Augusta where an exam will be conducted later.  It is believed that the remains are those of an adult male.  Investigators are working on determining the identity of the deceased.  No foul play is suspected. 

Maine State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Machiasport Wednesday evening.

On 08/31/2020, Cpl. Cote stopped Caleb Emerson (23) of Freemont, NH on the ME Turnpike northbound at the Saco Tolls.  He was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence of Drugs (Refusal).

Maine State Police from Troop C are investigating a fatal crash involving a man from Hudson.
On Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020, at 2:13 a.m., Maine State Police Troop C Troopers responded to 156 Warren Hill Road in Palmyra for a report of a crash involving a single vehicle with numerous injuries.

Troop D weekly activities for time August 24th to August 30th, 2020

On 8/23/2020 Troopers Martin, Booth, Bureau and Bragan, responded to a call in Troy, regarding an out of control male breaking into a home and assaulting the occupants. Tr. Martin and Booth made entry into the home and encounter Anthony Gerry Jr. (39) who refused to submit to arrest. Gerry was arrested and removed from the residence. Gerry was charged with Refusing to Submit to Arrest or Detention and transported to Waldo County Jail.
