On 11/23/2022, Tr. Verhille responded to a motor vehicle crash on the ME turnpike in Litchfield. The operator, David Smith (24) of Lewiston, had an outstanding warrant. Smith was transported to KCJ on the warrant.

UPDATE: He has been located safely. Thank you for your assistance.

On 11/17/2022, Cpl. Cote stopped Courtney Brunelle (28) on the ME Turnpike northbound in Portland for Criminal Speed (90/50 Work Zone).  She was charged with Criminal Speed.

The Department of Public Safety is aware of multiple active shooter threats that have been made at schools throughout the state. Maine State Police have been assisting local law enforcement agencies with these initial investigations. 

At this time these reports are believed to be a hoax. The Maine Information Analysis Center (MIAC) is heavily involved in coordinating these investigations. 
 

On Nov. 10, 2022,  Tr. Bean responded a residence on the West Corinth Road in Corinth for the report of a wood splitter theft.  When Tr. Bean arrived on scene, he met with complainant who stated that he had a Countyline wood splitter in the gravel pit behind his house that had been stolen sometime within the past week.  This matter is still under investigation.
