Troop G Weekly Report 08/31/2020 - 09/06/2020

On 08/31/2020, Cpl. Cote stopped Caleb Emerson (23) of Freemont, NH on the ME Turnpike northbound at the Saco Tolls.  He was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence of Drugs (Refusal).

On 09/01/2020, Cpl. Physic pulled over Charmagn Cody for erratic operation.  Cody admitted she had been drinking, did SFST’s, and Cpl. Physic arrested her for OUI.  Cody also had bail conditions and a suspended driver’s license.  Cody was charged with OUI, Violating Conditions of Release, and Operating after Suspension.

On 09/02/2020, Sgt. Doughty stopped Jaime Jimino (43) of Portland for traveling 84 MPH in a 70 MPH zone on the Turnpike in New Gloucester. Jimino had a suspended license status due to unpaid fines. Sgt. Doughty cited him for operating after suspension and speeding.

On 09/02/2020, Tr. Welch cited Terry Bothwell (26) of Biddeford for operating after suspension on the Turnpike in Wells.

On 09/02/2020, Cpl. Cote stopped Elijah Enman (22) of Rangeley on the ME Turnpike southbound in Lewiston.  He was charged with Criminal Speed for traveling more than 30 MPH over the posted 70 MPH speed limit.

On 09/02/2020, Tr. Darcy charged Travis Burton (47) of Topsham with Operating after Revocation as the result of a traffic stop northbound on the Turnpike in Arundel.

On 09/03/2020, Cpl. Cote stopped Nicholas Martin (29) of Old Orchard Beach on the ME Turnpike northbound in Portland.  He was charged with Criminal Speed for traveling more than 30 MPH over the posted 50 MPH work zone speed limit.

On 09/03/2020, Cpl. Cote stopped Jonata MBongo (21) of Westbrook on the ME Turnpike northbound in Portland.  He was charged with Criminal Speed for traveling more than 30 MPH over the posted 50 MPH work zone speed limit.

On 09/03/2020, Cpl. Cote stopped Thomas Dyer (31) of Portland on the ME Turnpike southbound in Portland.  He was charged with Criminal Speed for traveling more than 30 MPH over the posted 50 MPH work zone speed limit.

On 09/04/2020, Cpl. Cote stopped Yvan Charlot (35) of Mattapan, MA on the ME Turnpike northbound in Hallowell.  He was arrested and charged with Operating under the Influence.  His BrAC was over the legal limit.

On 09/04/2020, Sgt. Pappas arrested Kathy Abrams of New Hampshire for OUI.

On 09/04/2020, Tr. Williams arrested Daniel Fitzgerald of York for OUI.

On 09/05/2020, Tr. Keim stopped Jessica A. Dumais (44) of Poland for speeding.  Dumais was traveling 76 MPH in a posted 50 MPH construction zone.  After running a license and registration check, Tr. Keim obtained information that Dumais’ registration was under suspension.  Dumais was charged with speeding and operating a vehicle with a suspended registration.

On 09/06/2020, Cpl. Physic pulled over Javon Walker for traveling 101 MPH in a 70 MPH zone.  Walker admitted he had been drinking, did SFST’s and Cpl. Physic arrested him for OUI.  Walker also had a suspended driver license status out of Florida and Maine.  Walker was charged with Operating w/out a License, OUI, and Criminal Speed.

On 09/06/2020, Cpl. Cote stopped Robert Torrey (30) of Biddeford on the ME Turnpike northbound in Portland.  He was charged with Criminal Speed for traveling more than 30 MPH over the posted 50 MPH work zone speed limit.

On 09/06/2020, Cpl. Cote stopped Steven Leifheit (25) of N. Berwick on the ME Turnpike southbound in Portland.  He was charged with Criminal Speed for traveling more than 30 MPH over the posted work zone speed limit.

On 09/07/2020, Cpl. Cote stopped Benjamin Pineo (23) of Cape Elizabeth on the ME Turnpike northbound in Portland with Criminal Speed for traveling more than 30 MPH over the posted work speed limit (103 MPH).

On 09/07/2020, Cpl. Cote stopped Christopher Leavitt (32) of N. Waterboro on Main Street in Westbrook.  He was charged with Operating after Suspension and Possession of a Suspended License.

Sgt. Pappas arrested 3 individuals from Massachusetts for aggravated trafficking following a traffic stop in which 176 grams of fentanyl and 60 grams of cocaine were seized.  Cpl. Duda, in addition to Troopers Williams, Darcy, and LiBritz, assisted.

Tr. Kristy LiBritz organized a group from Troop G to support and participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit the Special Olympics. It is a virtual event from August 14th to September 30th. Our goal is to cover at least 109 miles! This is symbolic of our Troop’s coverage area and we are excited to share our results upon completion.
