Trooper:                   Tr. Desrosier

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Desrosier was driving through Fort Kent and observed a vehicle commit a traffic infraction.  Tr. Desrosier stopped the vehicle and an investigation revealed the registration plates on the vehicle were falsely attached.  Tr. Desrosier issued the driver a criminal summons for the violation and had the vehicle removed from the roadway.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Kilcollins was conducting traffic enforcement in Bridgewater and observed a vehicle speeding.  Tr. Kilcollins stopped the vehicle and found the operator was operating without a license.  The driver was issued a traffic summons for speeding and a criminal summons for operating without a license.  Tr. Kilcollins helped the driver arrange to have someone come get him and the vehicle.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Kilcollins responded to an incident that occurred in Woodland.  A man was cleaning his pistol and was in the process of unloading the weapon.  He dropped the magazine and tried to catch it before it hit the floor.  In the process, he managed to hit the trigger causing the gun to fire.  The bullet grazed his palm and finger.  Tr. Kilcollins conducted an investigation and determined there was nothing suspicious or criminal with this incident.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Levesque responded to a vacant residence in Mapleton when the property owner discovered a home he owned had been broken into.  Tr. Levesque conducted a neighborhood canvass and collected DNA evidence at the scene.  The investigation is ongoing.

Town:                        Monticello

Trooper:                   Tr. Rider

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Rider stopped and checked on a vehicle that appeared to be broken down in Monticello in the early morning hours of 11/5.  As he did so, a male subject ran from the scene and fled into the woods.  As the investigation unfolded, Tr. Rider had the vehicle towed from the scene and located a male subject later in the day that was linked to the vehicle.  The local man was arrested on an outstanding warrant and taken to jail without incident.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Rider investigated a criminal mischief complaint in Island Falls when a local woman reported that a playhouse on her property had been defaced with some derogatory words had been written on it.  The investigation is active and ongoing.

Town:                        Mount Chase

Trooper:                   Tr. Cotton

Brief Synopsis:       On 11/6/20 at approximately 1030 Tr Cotton was investigating the report of a crime where he attempted to detain Cynthia Burley, who was a suspect. Burley would not comply and took off in her vehicle. Burley led Troopers on a high-speed chase on Rt 11 where speeds exceeded 85 MPH multiple times. Burley was operating on the wrong side of the road during the chase. Tr Cotton was able to use the PIT maneuver to immobilize Burleys vehicle. Burley was arrested and taken to the Aroostook County jail.  The Warden Service assisted at the scene. Rt 11 was shut down for a short time due to the vehicles in the roadway. Burley was charged with the following: Felony Eluding, Refusing to Submit to Arrest, Criminal Mischief, Driving to Endanger, Operating After Suspension, Violation of Contrition of Release. The investigation still ongoing.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Mahon responded to a residence in Littleton for a theft complaint.  Several thousand dollars’ worth of tools were stolen from the residence.  The investigation is ongoing.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Mahon arrested a 28-year old Ludlow female on two FTA warrants while investigating a possible Criminal Trespass complaint.  The female was transported to the Troop F Barracks where she posted bail.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Saucier instructed Intoxilyzer Certification to several area law enforcement officers at Presque Isle Police Department. 


 

Incident Type:         THEFT

Date:                          11/06/2020

Town:                        oakfield

Trooper:                   Tr. saucier

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Saucier took a report of a vehicle theft from a residence in Oakfield.  The victim reported hearing the vehicle leaving the residence and believed it was traveling north on Interstate 95.  Troopers attempted to locate the vehicle but were unable to find it.  There have been other reports of vehicle thefts in the area and the investigation is ongoing.

Brief Synopsis:       Cpl. Casavant took a theft report in Masardis.  The caller advised sometime in the last three-weeks someone stole two old snowmobiles stored behind her residence.  The investigation is ongoing.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Saucier received a call from Dep. York of the A.S.O who had seen a male subject with warrants at a local residence.  Dep. York and Tr. Saucier parked down the road and approached the house through a wood line in attempt to verify it was the male they were looking for.  They observed the male in the backyard working on a vehicle, approached him and told him he was under arrest.  The male attempted to flee but was quickly caught by Tr. Saucier and Dep. York and after a brief struggle, was place under arrest for VCR, refusing to submit to arrest and the warrants.
