Trooper:                   Tr. Duff

 Brief Synopsis:      Tr. Duff received a report of a motor vehicle theft in Oakfield.  A construction company that was working on the Interstate reported a work truck missing from the Oakfield D.O.T. lot.  The company had located the truck in the woods off of the interstate by using the GPS unit that is installed on their vehicles.  Tr. Duff continues to work with the company to get the GPS coordinates of where the truck may have gone.  Tr. Duff is still working on this case.

Town:                        saint agatha

Trooper:                   Tr. Desrosier

 Brief Synopsis:      Tr. Desrosier was patrolling in the town of St. Agatha when he heard a vehicle with a loud exhaust.  Tr. Desrosier observed a man operating a moped on the side walk. Tr. Desrosier stopped the man and learned that his license was suspended.  The moped was not registered and had a defective exhaust.  Tr. Desrosier issued the man a summons for OAS and unregistered motor vehicle.

 Brief Synopsis:      Tr. Desrosier was patrolling in the town of Woodland when he observed a male cutting grass at a residence.  Tr. Desrosier was familiar with the man and thought he had bail conditions not to be there.  Tr. Desrosier confirmed that man had bail conditions not to be at the address.  Tr. Desrosier arrested the man and transported him to the Aroostook County Jail.

Trooper:                   TR. dESROSIER & tR. MARTIN

 Brief Synopsis:      Tr. Martin and Desrosier responded to the town of Stockholm for a property line dispute that erupted into a man chasing his neighbor with a baseball bat or large stick.  The man was threatening to kill the neighbor over the property line dispute.  Statements were obtained from all parties and it was determined that the man would be charged with terrorizing.  The man was arrested and transported to Caribou PD where he posted bail.  A disorderly conduct warning was issued to the others.

 Brief Synopsis:      Tr. Martin received a report of a motor vehicle theft from a residence in Mapleton.  The man called reporting that a female acquaintance took his vehicle and his cell phone.  Tr. Martin responded to the area but did not locate the vehicle.  Tr. Martin took statements and is looking for the female and the truck.  The following morning, Caribou PD located the vehicle and had it towed.  Tr. Martin continues to work on this case.

Town:                        easton

Trooper:                   Tr. Levesque

Brief Synopsis:       Tr Levesque responded to a reported motor vehicle crash in Easton.  Upon arrival, Tr Levesque found that this was a fatal crash.  Investigation would show that the 62 year old male victim had been driving a motorcycle and was following two vehicles.  One vehicle made a right turn onto another road and the motorcycle pulled out to pass this vehicle.  The lead vehicle, a minivan, then attempted to make a left turn and the motorcycle struck this vehicle, throwing the operator off the motorcycle.  The male died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.  Tr Levesque was assisted at the scene by Sgt Clark, Lt Harris, Lt. Goff, ASO and Easton first responders. The crash was reconstructed and mapped by Tr. Flynn.

Town:                        Mapleton

Trooper:                   Cpl. Michaud

Brief Synopsis:       Cpl. Michaud responded to an abandoned home in Mapleton when a neighbor reported that a group of individuals appeared to have entered the empty building and had gone inside.  Cpl. Michaud located the group and spoke with them after making them exit the building.  An adult man and women had taken some teenagers into the building in an effort to film a “ghost hunting adventure” to post on Youtube.  Cpl. Michaud spoke to the group about the consequences of entering properties without permission.  They were warned for trespassing and sent on their way.

Town:                        Amity

Trooper:                   Sgt. Haines / Tr. Plaisted

Brief Synopsis:       On 8/3/2019 at approximately 5:07 PM the Houlton RCC received a 911 call from a homeowner in Amity who went to check his mail and observed a motorcycle in the ditch.  The operator was located nearby in the woods and was unresponsive.  Houlton Ambulance and other nearby first responders responded, but the man was already deceased.  Tr Plaisted and Sgt. Haines investigated the crash and determined the following.  60-year old Jeffrey Warren of Dedham was traveling North on Route 1 on his 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he lost control and the bike went down on its side sliding off the East side of the roadway into the woods.  Warren came off the bike in the crash and was located a short distance from his motorcycle in a thick wooded area.  A helmet was located at the crash scene but did not appear to have been worn by Warren at the time of the crash.  Aroostook SO assisted at the scene.
