Trooper:                   Tr. Desrosier

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Desrosier was asked to conduct a bail check on a male subject in the town of St. Francis by a pre-trial officer.  Tr. Desrosier located the man at his residence and provided a urine sample that was positive for Methamphetamine.  Tr. Desrosier searched the man’s residence and located a small safe in the living room.  The man claimed that the safe belonged to a friend that would sometimes stay with him.  The man was placed under arrest and was released on bail.  Tr. Desrosier seized the safe and requested a search warrant for it’s contents.  The warrant was executed and the safe was opened.  Drug ledgers and paraphernalia was located.

Trooper:                   tr cotton

Brief Synopsis:       Houlton Regional Communications Center advised Tr Cotton of a crash on Route 11 in Mt. Chase. Tr Cotton arrived on scene and determined that the operator of F250 was plowing his driveway. He had backed into the roadway and did not see the unloaded TT unit traveling North on Route 11. The TT unit struck the F250 in the passenger side door. The operator of F-250 suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Houlton Regional Hospital by the Patten Ambulance. The F-250 was removed from the scene by Hayes towing and the tractor trailer truck was removed by Westerdahls towing. Poor road conditions and a blind corner are factors in the crash.

Trooper:                   Cpl. Michaud

Brief Synopsis:       Cpl. Michaud was conducting traffic enforcement in Connor Twp when he had occasion to stop a male driver for a traffic infraction.  A license check showed the man’s license was under suspension, but the man claimed he’d been to DMV and taken care of it.  A call to DMV contradicted his statement and he was summonsed for OAS.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Sylvia received a theft complaint in the town of Weston where a female reported her credit card had been used fraudulently online.  The investigation is ongoing.   

 

Incident Type:         Warrant Arrest

Town:                        Houlton

Trooper:                   Tr. CASAVANT

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Casavant was called to the Houlton Port of Entry for a male who crossed and was found to have a warrant.  Tr. Casavant learned the 41 year old male’s warrant was extraditable out of Texas and subsequently charged the man with being a fugitive from justice and he will be arraigned in Maine prior to extradition.
