Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Rider stopped a vehicle in Washburn for a traffic infraction.  Two of the vehicle occupants had warrants for their arrest.  Tr. Rider arrested the male and Tr. Kilcollins responded and arrested the female.  Both were transported to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton due to not being able to post bail.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Rider attempted to stop a vehicle in Woodland.  The vehicle sped up and turned into a private driveway.  An occupant from the vehicle then fled into the woods.  Tr. Desrosier arrived to assist Tr. Rider.  It was found that the man who fled into the woods was in violation of his current bail conditions.  The man was located by Tr. Rider and resisted arrest.  Tr. Rider secured the man in handcuffs and arrested for violating his conditions of release as well as refusing to submit to arrest.  He was transported to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton.

Brief Synopsis:       Washburn PD attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic infraction but lost sight and could not find the truck.  Presque Isle PD located the vehicle in their town and chased the vehicle.  Eventually, the driver stopped and was arrested for OAS, false attachment of plates, eluding an officer, and other charges.  Sgt. Clark assisted in the traffic stop with Presque Isle PD.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Rider, as well as other Troopers in Troop F, have been searching for a man known to evade police that had several warrants for his arrest, one being domestic violence related.  Tr. Rider received information the man was at a residence in Woodland.  Tr. Rider and Tr. Kilcollins went to the residence and located the man inside.  The man tried to escape through a backdoor but there was a Deputy covering the back door and he was apprehended without further incident.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Castonguay has been investigating an assault that occurred between two men in Island Falls on January 13, 2021.  One of the men was intoxicated, assaulted the other man, and then said if the police were called, he would point a shotgun at the officer, even if it was not loaded, to force the Trooper to shoot him.  Tr. Castonguay was following a lead on his investigation and spotted the man driving.  The man was stopped and arrested without incident for violating his bail conditions and other charges.  He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Cotton met with a local man after he reported that an old vehicle he had purchased was missing.  The man had purchased the vehicle and left it at a rest area in Haynesville to have it towed after he had some mechanical problems with it.  When the wrecker operator arrived, the vehicle was gone.  The investigation is ongoing.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Mahon was monitoring traffic on Route 1 in Monticello when he recognized a vehicle from a previous encounter.  The registered owner and operator had a restricted driver’s license to only drive to and from work in Portland.  Tr. Mahon conducted a traffic stop in Houlton and charged the 34-year old Portland man with Operating Without a License.  The passenger had a valid driver’s license and took over driving the vehicle.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Saucier took a report from Southern Aroostook Community School of a vehicle that passed a stopped school bus.  Following Tr. Saucier’s investigation, he charged the 58-year old Island Falls man with Passing a Stopped School Bus with Lights Flashing.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Mahon arrested a 38-year old Castle Hill man on two outstanding warrants, one of which was a Domestic Violence charge reference an incident investigated by Troop F.
