Trooper:                   Sgt. Clark

Brief Synopsis:       Sgt. Clark was driving through Presque Isle when he came upon a crash on US Highway 1.  A vehicle had rolled onto its roof and the PD had not yet arrived at the scene.  Sgt. Clark rendered aid to the driver and stayed on-scene to assist the PD with traffic control.  The driver was not seriously injured in the crash.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Desrosier was conducting traffic enforcement and was driving through Fort Kent.  He observed a vehicle speeding and initiated a traffic stop.  During the course of the stop, Tr. Desrosier found the driver had a suspended Maine driver’s license.  The man stated he was not aware of the suspension.  Tr. Desrosier issued the man a traffic summons for speeding and a criminal summons for OAS.  He gave the man a ride to his residence and helped him arrange for a licensed driver to get his car.

Brief Synopsis:       – Tr. Bell arrested a male in Houlton on a warrant stemming from a December 2019 hit and run crash.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Cotton conducted a welfare check on a male subject in Sherman. Ultimately, the male was all set, but Tr. Cotton found out the male’s license was suspended. Shortly after clearing the call, Tr. Cotton observed the male pull out of his driveway in a friend’s vehicle. Tr. Cotton conducted a traffic stop and issued the man a citation for OAS. Tr. Cotton escorted the male back to his house where the vehicle was parked.

Brief Synopsis:       Houlton Regional Communications Center received a call from an owner of a local restaurant in Oakfield who reported that there was a male at their restaurant that had been in an accident on the interstate. The male was transported to Houlton Regional Hospital with injuries sustained in the crash as well as case of hypothermia/frostbite. Tr. Cotton located the vehicle in the area of I 95 285 South Bound in Dyer Brook in the ditch. Tr. Cotton determined that the operator of the vehicle swerved to avoid something in the roadway and went off the road. The operator ran approximately 1 mile to get help. Investigation is on-going.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Levesque received a complaint of a stolen snowmobile.  The victim had gotten information that the sled was in Houlton and Troopers and Houlton PD began looking for it.  Houlton PD located the sled and got into a chase with the operator who got off the sled and ran on foot.  The operator of the sled was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property.  The investigation is ongoing

Brief Synopsis:       Cpl Hafford assisted the FMO at a fatal fire in Fort Fairfield as an ERT.

Town:                        Mount Chase

Trooper:                   Tr. Saucier

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Saucier responded to a vehicle off the road in Mount Chase.  A local towing company had reported that they were called to tow out a vehicle that had a small amount of damage, but when they arrived it appeared that the vehicle was a total loss.  After Tr. Saucier concluded his investigation, he arrested a Bangor woman for Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol.  She was arrested without incident and transported to the Aroostook County Jail.
