On August 27, 2020, at approximately 2:36 a.m., the Houlton Regional Communication Center (RCC) received a report of a crash on the County Road in New Limerick. Tr. Tim Saucier responded and once on scene learned it was a loaded log truck which had lost its load of logs into the ditch. Tr. Saucier’s investigation determined 25-year-old Dustin Belanger of Mapleton was traveling West on the County Rd in a 2014 Peterbuilt log truck owned by Larry Belanger of Mapleton when an issue with an axle caused the truck to crash into the ditch and rollover. Dustin suffered minor injuries and was not transported. DOT and DEP responded to assist at the scene.
