    09-30-19

    Trooper Owen Reed summonsed Amanda Rooney (40) of Orland, for Operating after Suspension after a traffic stop in Penobscot.

    10-01-19

    Trooper Kim sawyer investigated a complaint of assault at a road construction site in Princeton. Two flaggers at the site were the victims.  Trooper Kim Sawyer summoned Dean Francis (60) of Princeton for Criminal Mischief, Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle >150 Days, and Failure to Yield Right of Way in a Construction Site.  Edna Sabattis (23) of Princeton was summoned for Assault.

    Corporal Chris Smith responded to a vehicle involved in 2 different crashes on Route 1 in Hancock.  As a result of further investigation Michael Mitchell (40) of Hancock was arrested for Operating Under the Influence of Drugs.  Game Warden Dave Simmons assisted on scene and Trooper Travis Chapman assisted at the jail as a drug recognition expert. 

     

    10-03-19

    Corporal Micah Perkins responded to a theft complaint in Lubec where an ATM card was reported stolen after having been forgotten in the ATM machine at the bank.  The card was later attempted to have been used at a local restaurant.  The suspect was in a vehicle with Quebec plates.  Investigation continues.

    Corporal Micah Perkins responded to Pembroke for a report that Ralph (Butch) Kierstead (71) had fired a gun possibly shooting a dog and was outside banging on the door and windows of a residence.  While responding, it was found that Kierstead was also a felon.  Kierstead was arrested for being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.  Sergeant Jeff Ingemi, Trooper Keith York, Pleasant Point Police Department and Eastport Police Department assisted.

    10-05-19

    Trooper Caleb McGary responded to a criminal mischief complaint in Lamoine where a garage door was damaged on a seasonal residence.  Investigation continues.

    Trooper Caleb McGary responded to a theft complaint in Lamoine where a rabbit and urn were reported stolen.  The rabbit was located.  Investigation continues.

    Trooper Travis Chapman stopped a vehicle for speeding on the Front Ridge Road in Penobscot. As a result of the stop the operator, Wendy Lynds (46) of Dedham was arrested for Operating Under the Influence.  

     

    10-06-19

     

    Trooper Caleb McGary responded to a rollover crash in Orland.  As a result of the investigation Dustin Smith (27) of Bucksport, was arrested for Operating Under the Influence. 

     

  • Troop G Weekly Report

    On 09-30-19 Tpr. Keller stopped Austin Graffam (21) for loud exhaust, headlight, speed and tailgating near mile 83 northbound.  His license was suspended.  He was charged, and vehicle was towed. 

    On 10-02-19 Tpr. Keller received a complaint of a verbal argument between in male and female in a vehicle in the area of the Gray Maine Turnpike Maintenance yard.  The vehicle continued southbound and Tpr. Keller stopped it at mile 57.  The female, Alecia Tadlock (23) was arrested for domestic violence assault on her boyfriend.  She admitted to an assault.  Their 6-month-old baby was in the vehicle with them at the time.  Tadlock was taken to the CCJ.  Sgt. Porter assisted.

    On 10-01-19 Tpr. Darcy charged Jaime Pillcorema (43) of Bronx, NY with Operating without a License as the result of a traffic stop northbound on the turnpike in Wells.

    On 10-04-19 Tpr. Darcy charged AJ Wills (38) of Knox with Operating after Suspension as the result of a traffic stop northbound on the turnpike in York.

    On 10-04-19- Tpr. Darcy charged Jose Ortiz (39) of Lowell, MA with Operating without a License as the result of a traffic stop northbound on the turnpike in Ogunquit.

    On 10-04-19 Tpr. Libritz stopped a vehicle in the area of mile 66 northbound for a plate light out. The driver, Jenna Wai Leighton (35), had a valid license but the registration was suspended for toll evasion.  Leighton was issued a summons for operating with a suspended registration. 

    On 10-04-19 Tpr. Duda was traveling to the EVOC range.  Tpr. Duda was northbound on Route 8 in Smithfield when he observed a school bus traveling southbound on Route 8 at a high rate of speed, the bus was clocked at 72mph in a 50mph speed zone.  Tpr. Duda conducted a traffic stop and found the bus did not contain any students.  The operator, Elizabeth Lane (56) was issued a summons for speed. 

    On 10-02-19 Tpr. Baker stopped Brian Heinman (32) of Augusta at mile 109 and charged him with OAS.

    On 10-02-19 Tpr. Baker arrested Samantha Leonard (62) of Gray for domestic violence assault and violation of bail conditions at the West Gardiner Toll plaza.  Leonard assaulted her domestic partner while driving home to Gary from Applebee’s in Augusta.

    On 10-05-19 Tpr. Hager investigated a late report suspicious incident at the Kennebunk Service Plaza southbound in Kennebunk.  A third-party complainant reported an elderly male was seen filming a female teenager in line at the Starbuck’s store.  The third-party complainant provided the registration to the suspect’s vehicle and Tpr. Hager located James Hoyle (57) at his residence in Wells.  Hoyle was issued a no trespass notice to both the Northbound and Southbound Service Plazas in Kennebunk, and the trespass notice was logged into Spillman.
     

  • SIDNEY FATAL CRASH

    Trooper Eric Sucy investigating today’s fatal crash in Sidney

    Maine State Police say a woman was killed this morning when her pickup truck overturned off the Middle Road in Sidney.  Trooper Eric Sucy said Elizabeth Simmons,38, of Sidney, Simmons was not wearing her seat belt when the truck overturned off the Middle Road.   Troopers said the truck was speeding and the woman was not wearing her seat belt.  The truck went off the road on a slight curve and came to rest on its roof at the intersection of the Reynolds Hill Road. The woman, the truck’s only occupant , was killed instantly.  The crash was reported about 8:15 a.m.  The crash was less than two miles from the Augusta city line.

  • CASTLE HILL MURDER INDICTMENTS

    The Aroostook County Grand Jury has handed down indictments against 38 year old Bobby Nightingale of Presque Isle, charging him with two counts of murder in connection with the shooting deaths of two men in Castle Hill in August . Nightingale has been in Aroostook County Jail on an unrelated  weapons charge since a week after the deaths.  He is expected to be arraigned on the new charges sometime next week in Aroostook Superior Court.  
     
    The indictments against Nightingale stem from three separate incidents.  Below is a summary of the charges for each incident. 

    For the deaths of 25 year old Allen Curtis and 51 year old Roger Ellis on August 13 on Route 227 in Castle Hill:

    • 2 Counts: Intentional and Knowing Murder 
    • 1 Count: Possession of Firearm by a Prohibited Person (Class C)

    The following charges were issued as a result of an incident in Presque Isle on August 5: 

    • 1 Count: Burglary (Class A)
    • 1 Count: Robbery (Class A)
    • 1 Count: Possession of Firearm by a Prohibited Person (Class C)

    The following charges resulted from an incident on August 10 at the residence located at 1961 State Road in Castle Hill.  

    • 1 Count: Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon (Class C)
    • 1 Count: Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person (Class C)

    The deaths of Curtis and Ellis were investigated by the Aroostook County Sheriff's Department, the Maine Warden Service, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Maine Forest Service and the Presque Isle Police Department, along with State Police .
     

  • RICHMOND SUSPICIOUS DEATH

    State Police are investigating the death of a Richmond man, who was found dead inside his downtown home Friday afternoon.  The death of 48 year old Andrew Sherman of 7 Kimball St is being termed suspicious.  Sherman's body was found by a friend about 5 PM who had gone to check on him, after Kimball had not been seen or heard from in a few days. An autopsy was performed Saturday at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta, but no details are being released at this time.

    A team of detectives and evidence technicians, assisted by Richmond Police, have been at the home since Friday night . Detectives are working out of the Richmond Fire Department.  Police are asking anyone who has either seen or heard from Sherman in the past week to contact them, either by dropping by the fire department, or calling State Police in Augusta at 207-624-7076, extension 9.

    Sherman lived alone in the house and had not worked in recent years because of injuries from a car crash.

     10-08-19

    Trooper Dana Austin received a report of mobile home that was being towed down Route 182 in Franklin by a front-end loader. Trooper Austin responded to the scene and located the mobile home blocking most of the roadway. The mobile home struck a guardrail and damaged a mailbox in the short distance that Trooper Austin was behind it. With assistance from the Franklin Fire Department, Trooper Austin was able to get the mobile home off the roadway and it was parked at the Franklin Community Center. As a result of the investigation, Augustus Edgerton (49) of Carmel was summonsed for Operating without a license. Also, charged in this incident was Sarah Day (28) of Franklin. Sarah was summoned by Trooper Joshua Deangelo for not having the proper permits to transport the mobile home.

    10-10-19

    Trooper Gavin Endre conducted a consensual encounter with a vehicle at the Ellsworth Market Place in Ellsworth. During the conversation, Trooper Endre built probable cause to believe Courtney Raymond (24) of Jonesboro was driving the vehicle. Raymond’s driving status was currently revoked and she also had an active warrant for her arrest. Trooper Endre arrested Raymond and transported her to the Hancock County Jail where she was booked in on the warrant and summonsed for Operating After Revocation.

    Trooper Gavin Endre conducted a traffic stop on a yellow Subaru Baja in Hancock, for a registration violation. The operator David Briggs (37) of Hancock had a suspended driving status as well as an active warrant for his arrest. Briggs was transported to the Hancock County Jail, where he was booked in on the warrant and summonsed for Operating After Suspension and Falsely Attaching a Registration.

    Trooper Owen Reed responded to Deer Isle for a report of a vehicle passing a school bus with its lights on.  Investigation continues.

    10-12-19

    Trooper Keith York summonsed Ian Rudd (32) of Machiasport, for Failure to Report an Accident by Quickest Means stemming from a crash investigation on October 5th in Machias.  Trooper Andy Foss assisted.

     

  • Troop D Weekly Report

    On 10/6/19 Tr. Harrington summonsed Eric McKinley (34) of Waterville for operating without a license on I295 in Richmond.

    On 10/6/19 Tr. Bureau stopped Mikaela King (25) of Orrington for an inspection violation on Route 1 in Searsport. Upon further investigation, Tr. Bureau learned the vehicle operated by King had a suspended registration for Tolls. King was summonsed for operating with suspended registration and the released-on scene after the vehicle was towed.

    On 10/9/19 Tr. Bureau stopped William Overlock (19) of Carmel for speeding 84 mph in a posted 50 mph zone on Route 137 in Knox. Overlock was summonsed for exceeding the speed limit by 30 mph or more and released on scene.

    On 10/9/19 Tr. Harrington arrested Chelsea Wyman (27) of Augusta for: Failing to give correct name, violating conditions of release, unlawful possession of schedule drug (Suboxone and Heroin), and operating after revocation. This stems from a traffic stop that was conducted on a vehicle Wyman was operating on Sewell Street in Augusta. It was also determined Wyman was on probation for Trafficking Heroin and a probation hold was placed on Wyman. Det. Quintero assisted with the stop.

    On 10/10/19 Tr. Harrington and Sgt. Fowlie attended a “Trunk or Treat” event for Connor Sawtell in the parking lot of Texas Roadhouse in Augusta. Connor is suffering from a rare spinal condition and is going in for surgery on 10/16/19.

    On 10/10/19 Tr. Martin stopped a vehicle for a plate light being out. As a result of the stop it was discovered one of the passengers, Jenna Maddocks (26), had an outstanding warrant. She was taken into custody and transported to Waldo County Jail without incident.

    On 10/10/19 Tr. Bureau stopped Bryanna Blanchard (26) of Freedom for an expired inspection sticker on Route 137 in Waldo. Upon further investigation, Tr.

    Bureau learned Blanchard’s license was suspended with a prior OAS conviction. Blanchard was summonsed for OAS with a prior and the vehicle was towed.

    On 10/10/19 Tr. Bureau stopped Naota Farris (27)of Bucksport on the Hawes Bridge Road in Prospect for a vehicle defect. Upon making contact with Farris, Tr. Bureau observed thick clouds of smoke coming from the inside of the vehicle. The odor smelt of burnt marijuana. It was learned that the rear passenger, Carlos David (22) also of Bucksport was smoking a joint in the back seat while Farris was driving around. David was charged with consuming marijuana in a vehicle on a public way.

    On 10/12/19 Tr. Peckham arrested Brian Costa (55) of West Gardiner on an unpaid fines warrant.

    On 10/12/19 Cpl. Robinson responded to 745 Townhouse Road in the town of Unity for a reported assault. Corey Robinson (22) of Farmington, and Alec Reynolds (41) of Troy, got into an altercation at a residence they both were at in Burnham. The case is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office in Belfast for review.

    On 10/13/19 Cpl. Robinson took a report of a protection order violation at 94 Indian Hill Lane in the town of Frankfort. Patricia Parker (40) of Frankfort, was ultimately arrested for the violation by texting her estranged husband Eric Parker (33) of Frankfort, who was the protected party.

  • Troop G Weekly Report

    On 10-09-19 Tpr. Kelley stopped Haider Mahmood (25) of Farmingdale for speeding in Sabattus.  He was summonsed for speed and OAS.    

    On 10-10-19 Tpr. Kelley summonsed Steve Kaze (20) of Portland for speeding after stopping him in Sabattus for going 101mph in the 70mph zone.    

    On 10-10-19 Tpr. Kelley summonsed Phuong Do (49) for OUI as the result of a traffic complaint and motor vehicle crash in Gray.   

    On 10-13-19 Tpr. Physic pulled a vehicle over for erratic operation at the Irving gas station in Scarborough by the Turnpike.  During the traffic stop the male ran away from the traffic stop.  Sgt. Pappas, Sgt. Doughty, Tpr. Harakles, Tpr. Davis, Tpr. Physic, and Scarborough Police Department were able to take away all avenue escapes for the male and later placed him under arrest within the hour.  The male was given an intoxilyzer test with a result over the legal limit.  The male had given law enforcement a false name.  Tpr. Physic was able to learn his real name was Nathan Saad (19).  Saad was on probation for theft, had conditions not to consume alcohol, a suspended driver license status (already has 3 pending suspensions), and had bail conditions.  Saad was charged with Failure to Give Correct Name, OAS, Violation Condition of Release, Failure to Stop for Police Officer, and Administrative OUI.

    On 10-10-19 Tpr. Duda was traveling west on Route 126 in Sabattus when he clocked a pickup truck traveling east at 91mph in a posted 55mph speed zone.  After stopping the vehicle Tpr. Duda noticed that the vehicle, a Ford F-350 was over height and had several other inspection violations.  The operator, Randolph Gayton (34) of Litchfield, stated that he was coming from the shop where he was denied an inspection sticker.  Gayton was summonsed for exceeding the speed limit by 30mph or more as well as operating a defective motor vehicle.  The truck was towed from the stop. 

    Tpr. Duda and K9 Mack conducted four K9 sniffs for Troop G Troopers.  No arrests. 

    On 10-08-19 Cpl. Cloutier received two independent complaints of a Toyota driving erratically northbound from mile 36 in Saco.  As Cpl. Cloutier went north from mile 42, Det. Heimbach had the vehicle stopped at Exit 44 in Scarborough.  Det. Heimbach witnessed the erratic operation and stopped the vehicle.  Matthew Losee of Wells was not impaired.  Losee was summonsed for Driving to Endanger, the vehicle was towed and Losee was dropped off in South Portland.

    On 10-13-19 Tpr. MacKinnon stopped a vehicle southbound at mile 16 for operating 96mph in a 70mph zone.  The driver, Brendan Kolterjahn of Massachusetts, was summonsed for speed and for not having his two children (both under age of 3) secured in a car seat.

    On 10-11-19 Sgt. Porter stopped Mehul Patel (44) of PA, northbound at mile 17.5 in Wells for speeding and failure to maintain lane control.  He admitted to being distracted looking at the onboard GPS in the vehicle.  He was issued a VSAC for Failure to Maintain Control of a MV (Distracted Driving). 

    On 10-08-19 Tpr. Darcy arrested Aaron Gervais of Alfred on an active warrant for unpaid fines as the result of a traffic stop northbound on the Turnpike in York.

    On 10-11-19 Tpr. LiBritz checked on a broken-down vehicle in the area of mile 40 southbound. Upon further investigation it was determined the driver, Shania White (22) of Biddeford, got a flat tire on her way home from work. White’s driver’s license had active suspensions for failure to pay fines and costs and she was on two sets of conditions of release.  Part of her conditions were not to operate a motor vehicle unless lawfully licensed.  White was summonsed for operating after suspension-infraction and violation of conditions of release. 

    On 10-12-19 Tpr. LiBritz received a report of a pedestrian walking northbound in the area of mile 32.  Tpr. LiBritz contacted the female trespassing on the Turnpike.  The female was uncooperative.  She was reluctant to provide her name and she kept providing false information as to who she was.  Based on the totality of circumstances and multiple attempts to identify the female she was arrested for criminal trespass and transported to the York County Jail.  The female eventually stated her name was Melevanie Lange (41) of Portland but she remained uncooperative and would not provide any information to support or verify that was her real identity.  Lange is currently at the York County Jail waiting to be positively identified through her fingerprints.

    Brief Synopsis:  Tr. Royle initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling at 70 MPH in a posted 50 MPH limit.  The female operator identified as Snyder, Kimberley E (19).  Tr. Royle found the operator to be impaired and after conducting SFSTs, SNYDER was taken into custody.  A vehicle search recovered Fresh Marijuana buds, Dab, drug paraphernalia and hard liquor.  SNYDER was summonsed for OUI (ALCOHOL); Driving to Endanger, Operating without a license, Permit or Beyond Restriction; Restriction or Class, Minor Transporting Liquor, and Marijuana (IN MV). SNYDER was also issued a VSAC for Speeding 20-24 Mph over posted limit.

    Brief Synopsis:  Tr. Smith arrested a male from Lisbon after a violation of conditions of release was discovered during a traffic stop on I-295 in Portland.

    Brief Synopsis:  Cpl. Hink responded to Hiram for a report of two females at a residence pointing a gun at each other before one of the females fled the residence.  As Cpl. Hink was approaching the residence, he noticed a suspicious vehicle in the area. After having Augusta RCC run the plate, Cpl. Hink was advised that was the vehicle that fled the scene.  Cpl. Hink conducted a felony stop on the vehicle, detained the female operator and waited for a York County Deputy to arrive on scene to clear the vehicle.  Once the scene was secure, Cpl. Hink searched the female and the vehicle and did not locate any weapons.  Cpl. Hink had K9 Berry conduct an area search for a weapon and a drug sniff of the vehicle and nothing was located.  Upon completing the investigation, Cpl. Hink learned only the homeowner had a firearm and no crimes were committed.  The female from the traffic stop was issued a No Trespass Order to the residence.

    Brief Synopsis:  Cpl. Hink responded to Lovell to assist Oxford County SO with an unwanted female at 486 West Lovell Road.  Cpl. Hink arrived on scene just after Dep. MacCormick and Oxford Sgt. Ontengco, escorted Lacey Drew from the property and she was issued a No Trespass Order.

    Brief Synopsis:  Cpl. Hink responded to 538 Ossipee Trail in Porter for a neighbor dispute.  During the investigation, all parties were told to act like adults and Libby McMannis was issued a Cease Harassment Order.

    Brief Synopsis:  Cpl. Hink stopped Jessica Geyer after identifying her driving from previous contact.  Cpl. Hink believed she had a warrant, asked Augusta to run her confirming she was wanted out of York County.  Cpl. Hink stopped her in front of Sacopee Valley Elementary School, arrested her and transported her to the York County Jail without incident.  Cpl. Hink called the SRO for Sacopee Valley School and advised them the car would be parked by the elementary fields for approximately an hour until Jessica’s boyfriend could come get it.

    Brief Synopsis:  On October 13th, Sgt. Farley and Tr. Wing responded to Belair Estates Rd. in Fryeburg to assist the PD with a reported domestic involving Zachary Jackson, a male reportedly in possession of a firearm.  When State Police arrived, Oxford SO and Fryeburg PD were set up on the residence and Fryeburg PD were investigating with the female caller, outside, while the male was reportedly inside the basement.  Despite the male having a warrant for Class C DV Criminal Threatening, Fryeburg PD Sergeant instructed the units to clear.  The following day, State Police returned to conduct surveillance on the residence and arrest Jackson.  Eventually, Jackson arrived at the residence and Troopers Fillebrown and Wing confronted Jackson who attempted to flee into the residence.  Forcible entry was made, and Jackson was arrested.  Following a search of the vehicle he arrived in, and a search of his residence because of his bail conditions, Jackson was transported to Oxford County Jail for the warrant, and summonsed for VCR, OAS 3priors, Refusing to Submit to Arrest.  Additionally, Jackson will face drug charges once the suspected drugs have been tested.

  • Troop B Weekly 09/30/19-10/06/19

    Incident Type:   OUI Accident - SERIOUS INJURY/OAS/COURT ORDERED WARRANT

    Brief Synopsis:  On 9/17/2019, Tr. Royle investigated a Serious PI crash resulting from a wrong way driver on I-295 in Portland.  Tr. Royle determined that the wrong way operator, identified as HANSON, ARTHUR W (56) was under the influence at the time of the crash. Tr. Royle also determined that HANSON was SUSPENDED and had no insurance at the time of the crash.  Based on the totality of the circumstances Tr. Royle applied for and was granted a Court Ordered Arrest warrant for the following felony charges; Operating After Suspension-Accident with Injury, Operating Under the Influence (Alcohol) – Injury, Reckless Conduct (to be elevated to Class C through use of a dangerous weapon (Motor Vehicle)), Aggravated Criminal Mischief, and Aggravated Assault.  On 10/5/2019, Tr. Royle identified HANSON operating a motor vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.  Tr. Royle arrested HANSON on the Warrant and charge HANSON on another count of OAS.

    Brief Synopsis: On 90/30/19, Tr. Fillebrown was working a PACE detail on the Maine Turnpike.   During a traffic stop with two males, Tr. Fillebrown observed they were attempting to conceal something in the glovebox.  Tr. Fillebrown observed vacuum seal and later located 94 grams of Heroin and Cocaine.  Another 4 grams of Crack cocaine was found in the vehicle.  Two Winsor, Connecticut males were charged with Aggravated Trafficking in schedule drugs.

    Brief Synopsis:  Cpl. Hink, Sgt. Hanson and Tr. Doughty responded to Hiram Hill Road in Hiram of a report of a male displaying a firearm at his neighbor and told him he would shoot him.  Cpl. Hink arrived on scene and contacted the male complainant to provide his neighbor’s name.  As Cpl. Hink was staged for Sgt. Hanson and Tr. Doughty to arrive, Sgt. Hanson stopped the alleged offender on Hiram Hill Road.  Cpl. Hink and Tr. Doughty responded to the stop, detained the male and searched him for a weapon.  He gave consent to search his vehicle and Sgt. Hanson did so.  No weapon was located.  During the investigation it was determined that a firearm was not in fact displayed but they did have a verbal argument.  Both subjects were given a Disorderly Conduct Warning, Cease Harassment Order and No Trespass Order.  They both agreed to leave each other alone and act like mature adults going forward.

    Brief Synopsis:  Cpl. Hink and Tr. Wing assisted Oxford SO with a suicidal male with a machete in Lovell.  Tr. Wing located the male driving on the roadway and conducted a felony stop on the vehicle and detained the male near his cruiser. Cpl. Hink arrived on scene, tactically approached the vehicle to clear it confirming nobody else was inside the vehicle. After being cleared by rescue, the male was arrested for OUI by Tr. Wing and taken to Fryeburg PD for intox.

    Brief Synopsis:  Cpl. Hink, Trooper Wing and Det. Fillebrown responded to 209 Sweden Road in Waterford after a report of a male that had warrants was at the house and the female involved in the hit and run with a school bus earlier in the week, was also at the house.  Upon arriving on scene, Felisha Thayer was in the front yard who was on bail conditions.  Tr. Wing advised he heard something in the woods or behind the house.  Felisha was detained, and Cpl. Hink secured his K9 and cast him around the property and conducted several building searches of barns and out buildings.  Matt McAllister was not located. After conducted a bail search of Felisha and her belongings, she had several bail violations.  Cpl. Hink arrested her, transported her to jail, charged her with VCR and issued her a No Trespass Order for the property.

    Brief Synopsis:  Cpl. Hink responded to Maine Street in Stoneham to assist Oxford SO with a report of a single vehicle into a tree with entrapment and injuries to a female and two kids.  Upon arrived, Deputies advised Cpl. Hink the female passenger did not survive the crash and the kids were transported to the hospital.  Cpl. Hink was asked to take pictures of the crash scene while Deputies conducted interviews and attempted to locate next of kin.  Sgt. Hanson responded to assist with crash reconstruction.

    Brief Synopsis:  Cpl. Hink responded to 18 Maple crest Road in Parsonsfield to assist Sacopee Rescue with lifting assistance of an elderly male that had fallen.  Cpl. Hink assisted with loading the male into the rescue and he was transported to Mercy Hospital.

    Brief Synopsis: Tr. Fillebrown assisted Norway PD with overdose in Norway.   The male had been given two doses of Narcan upon Tr. Fillebrown arrival.  The male was transported to the Hospital and units were called back to the hospital after the patient try to run away.

    Brief Synopsis: Tr. Fillebrown assisted Oxford SO with a drug test on the driver of a fatal motor vehicle crash in Stoneham.  The operator was on full search and test bail stemming from an armed robbery earlier in the year.

    Brief Synopsis: Trooper Pyburn and Detective Fillebrown responded to Mill Hill Road in Waterford, to assist the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office with a report of a school bus crash. Upon arriving on scene, it was determined a grey Pontiac sedan had fled the scene after striking the bus. Trooper Pyburn had passed a vehicle matching that description while in route to the crash. A photo taken from Trooper Pyburn’ s WatchGuard was shared on social media, and the vehicle was reported to be abandoned on Rice Road in Waterford. The vehicle was towed, and several suspects identified. The registered owner, Heather Reynold, was interviewed and identified Felisha Thayer of Waterford, as being the last known operator. Felisha was arrested the following day for VCR. Additional charges pending further investigation from the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office.  ​

    Brief Synopsis:  Cpl. Hink assisted Tr. Pyburn and Oxford Lt. Chancey with conducting a practical ALICE Training exercise to the Sacopee Valley staff.  12 scenarios were conducted and approximately 100 staff members were present throughout the day.
