Visitors to the Maine Criminal Justice Academy are required to wear masks / facecoverings until further notice.

We have resumed some classes here at the Academy; all classes will adhere to Covid-19 precautions.

 

There will be no lodging available at the Academy during these classes.

 

The following classes are scheduled:

 

March 15 - 39th Basic Law Enforcement Training Program

 

May 10 - 21, LEPS Phase II, Bangor PD

 

June 1 - 14, LEPS Phase II, York County Community College

 

All students must adhere to Maine's Covid-19 protocols, found here.

 

ALERT testing and Phase I written exams are being offered the first and third Wednesday of each month, here at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. Seats are limited, and preregistration is required. Please contact our office at (207)877-8000 to register.

 

Physical Fitness Testing is not being offered at the Academy at this time; PFT's may be conducted by agencies with Academy-certified PFT evaluators, off-site, with a memorandum of understanding.

Alert and Physical Fitness Tests at MCJA

At MCJA, for the Alert Test, arrive at 0845 hours. The Phase I Exam will be available and will start at 1200 hours. Lunch is not provided if you are taking the Alert and Phase 1 exam, you should consider bringing a bag lunch.

Pre-registration is required to take tests, and can be made by calling the Academy's central office at 877-8000.
