CACFP New Applicant Training

School Districts that are currently participating in or wish to participate in the CACFP After School Program do not have to attend.

This training is mandatory prior to participation in the CACFP. We recommend that you plan to have both the person who will be responsible for administering the CACFP and the person who will be responsible for preparing meals and snacks attend the training. Please note, due to the complexity of CACFP rules and regulations, you will be required to attend this New Applicant Training again if you are unable to participate in the CACFP within 6 months of attending the training.

Please register each person from your institution who will be attending the training.

ServSafe Class and Exam

We are pleased to announce a very special opportunity for institutions operating the CACFP!

For a limited time, each institution operating the CACFP is eligible for one FREE ServSafe Manager Class/Exam for one of their staff!

If you have a staff member who is registered for the January class, please do not register anyone else. We are keeping a list of who the institutions that have participated.

ServSafe is a nationally recognized food safety training and certification program administered by the National Restaurant Association. The program is accredited by ANSI and the Conference for Food Protection.

By attending the ServSafe Manager Class and passing the exam, your staff member will learn valuable food safety knowledge and earn the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, which is valid for a period of 5 years!

This opportunity, valued at over $100, was made possible through a grant from the USDA.
