Habitats and Change

Summary

In this module, learners will explore how the special body parts and behaviors of plants and animals help them survive. Learners choose a local habitat to study, explore a changing reef habitat, investigate a variety of plant and animal adaptations, and then use their knowledge to propose a solution for a habitat problem.  Learners work as scientists, keeping track of their developing ideas in their (digital or printed) science notebooks. Exploration of careers related to habitats and opportunities to extend their learning through citizen science projects are included.
