Cancer Prevention, Bone Marrow Registry, and Organ Donation

In June 2021, the Maine legislature passed a H.P. 778 - L.D. 1049, Chapter 41 Resolve directed at educating students regarding common cancer symptoms, the Bone Marrow Registry and organ donation. There are online programs and lessons for school administrative units to use at no cost for elementary, middle, and high school health education classes. These programs or lessons provide information and address common early symptoms of cancer and prevention strategies, the bone marrow registry and organ donation.
